Bird Watching and Wildlife
Kittson County is home to numerous bird species both common and rare, including sandhill crane, snow, blue, and Canadian goose, migrating swans, marbled godwit, several owl species, ruffed and sharptail grouse, Hungarian partridge, bald eagle, cormorant, many shore birds and many upland species.
Many public lands are within a short drive including Lake Bronson State Park, Aggasiz National Wildlife Refuge, and several DNR wildlife management areas. Other common wildlife include timber wolf, whitetail deer, black bear, moose and beavers.
The city maintains two campgrounds at Gilbert Olson and Horseshoe Parks. The parks offer bathrooms, showers, trailer dumping stations and electrical hookups.

Fishing and Boating
The Two Rivers, which passes through town, provides excellent northern pike, walleye, sauger and other fishing opportunities. A public access is located in town for boating. Nearby is the Red River of the North which offers world class cat-fishing as well as other game fish. To the east lies Lake Bronson State Park and Lake Bronson for all your fishing and water sports needs.
The Two River Golf Club features nine-holes, grass greens, a newly constructed clubhouse with full kitchen, and is situated along the scenic south branch of the Two Rivers. The dining and bar area of the clubhouse are available for private parties and functions. The golf course runs Men’s, Women’s and Junior Leagues, as well as many summer tournaments. Other nearby courses include Lancaster, Karlstad, Stephen, Pembina, Drayton and Greenbush.
